A graduate of the Year Up IT-training program at Foothill College in California, Darren Pham began his career as a systems-monitoring and tools intern with eBay in February 2015. In this role, he created more than 50 workflow automation scripts and gained experience with software and infrastructure troubleshooting before accepting a job as a systems engineer with the eBay’s event-management team. During the next three years, Darren Pham handled infrastructure and site monitoring duties, such as administering the Foglight tool, integrating Foglight with the Everbridge notification platform, and using varied technology platforms to improve infrastructure integrity and performance.

In 2018, Darren Pham accepted a position as a network operations engineer in the cloud operations division of Splunk in San Francisco. He quickly earned promotion to a lead position while working with internal systems such as SFDC and the Atlassian Stack, and monitoring and resolving issues with the Splunk cloud. He also developed several automated workflow scripts that improved mean-time-to-repair.

Darren Pham has participated in the UC Berkeley Boot Camp since March 2018, during which time he has developed familiarity with JavaScript, MySQL, Bootstrap4, and other technologies. A former semi-professional gamer, he pursues a healthy lifestyle through fitness activities such as Olympic weightlifting.
